Indigenous dance

Indigenous performing arts group Minjil use traditional song, dance, lore and education to connect people from all backgrounds with country and culture.

Every move we make is designed to enhance the effectiveness of our storytelling art. We enjoy sharing our connections to ancient culture through movement, dance, and song. We dance for our heritage, our country, the land and the trees, the stars and the sky.

Traditional dancing is a core part of Aboriginal tradition. We love to tell culturally-rich stories and beliefs interpreted through song and dance. Minjil shares connection to ancient culture and beliefs through movement, through dance and through song.

Minjil’s performing artists enhance the cultural value of various types of events including marriages, festivals, sporting events, reconciliation events, personal and business parties.
